The world is witnessing a boom in crypto-supporting blockchain technology, as well as a lot of erroneous activity related to blockchain. Perhaps this is the reason why the US space agency NASA has clarified that it does not want any of its content to be converted into NFT or auctioned as a digital asset. NFT or non-fungible token is a digital collection, which is based on the blockchain. This includes many things like video clips, game avatars, artpieces, pictures, etc.
NASA has issued a post warning that the agency’s logo, photographs, audio recordings, video clips and any other types of files should not be used for commercial purposes.
The space agency said “NASA makes its images and videos available for educational and information purposes in accordance with guidelines. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are digital tokens owned by anyone, which are a type of digital asset. Not NASA.” wants his property to be used for these purposes.”
Certainly such a warning was apparently issued by NASA, because in recent times, some NFT and Metaverse projects have cited their affiliation with NASA. In October 2021 the Ethereum-based metaverse – “Mars4” – promised people that they would give them a chance to have a piece of the Red Planet (Mars) in a virtual world.

According to media reports, the metaverse awaiting launch has been created on NASA’s 3D map of the terrain of Mars.
