The Shahenshah of Bollywood i.e. Amitabh Bachchan also turned out to be Sikandar in terms of earning. He earned billions of rupees by investing money in the most talked about bitcoin in recent times. According to the report, Amitabh had earned $100 million (Rs 640.3 crore) due to the rise in bitcoin prices. But due to the fall in the prices, this earning could not last and in the time it had earned this money, it was sunk in less time.
Amidst the boom in bitcoin, everyone is trying to become a millionaire by investing money in this virtual currency. The biggest name that has come to the fore among those who have put money in it is that of superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh made a small investment in bitcoin 3-4 years back. Amitabh holds shares in Stamped Capital of Hyderabad. This trading company describes itself as a global trade house based on research, as well as trades worth crores of rupees every nano second. In its regulatory papers, the company has described Bachchan as an “individual non-promoter shareholder”. In the last quarter, Amitabh had 2.38 percent shares in this trading company. On June 30, 2014, Bachchan had 3.39 percent shares in the company, which were worth close to Rs 9 crore, but now Amitabh’s recent holding has halved to Rs 4.7 crore. This trading company is a subsidiary of Longfin Corp, a US based company. Stampede holds a 37.14 percent stake in Longfin, after Longfin was acquired by another company that makes bitcoin. In this way Amitabh is indirectly associated with this company. Amitabh had earned Rs 640 crore in two days due to huge fluctuations in bitcoin prices, but he drowned in less than that.
